At the heart of Red Lick’s community is our City Council. This elected body, consisting of five council members and the mayor, works tirelessly to ensure that the needs and safety of our residents are met. Each position is a two-year term, and elections are held on the first Tuesday of November.
The City Council is responsible for passing municipal budgets, ordinances, and declarations that impact the entire city. Our meetings are open to the public and held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at City Hall, located at 3193 FM 3419. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions that shape our community.
If you’ve ever considered serving your community, now is a great time! We currently have a vacancy for Alderman Place 3, and we invite any interested residents to apply. To qualify, you must be a registered voter, at least 18 years old, a resident of Texas for 12 months or more, and a resident of Red Lick for at least six months.
Join us in making Red Lick an even better place to live by getting involved with your local government. Together, we can continue to build on the progress our city has made and ensure a bright future for generations to come.
